Windsor Service Terms

Welcome to Windsor Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhirewindsor.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Windsor Tenancy

All vehicle rentals with Windsor are governed by a detailed Rental Agreement issued at booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. That agreement contains the specific terms, conditions, insurance details, charges and your responsibilities for the rental. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will control the relevant rental.

2. Windsor Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Windsor, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (age restrictions vary by vehicle type, and extra charges may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Windsor Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address, a payment method and any further documents Windsor requests.

3. Windsor Booking and Payment

  • Bookings can be made online via our website, by phone, or in person at our Windsor branch. A booking deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance and any security deposit are normally payable on collection of the vehicle. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Retrieval and Return

  • You must inspect the vehicle carefully at collection and report any existing damage to Windsor immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Windsor representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be assessed by Windsor and repair costs charged to you.

5. Windsor Insurance and Liability

  • Windsor provides basic third-party insurance with all rentals. Full coverage details and applicable excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these options and the Rental Agreement carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the applicable excess amount shown in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellations and Modifications

Windsor's cancellation and amendment policies differ by booking type and notice period. Consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for full details. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Windsor Restrictions

You must not use a Windsor vehicle for:

  • Any unlawful use of Windsor vehicles. Racing, rallying, off‑road driving, or other dangerous activities. Transporting hazardous or regulated materials. Sub‑letting Windsor vehicles to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Uses for which the vehicle is not intended.

Breaching these restrictions may result in Windsor rental termination and additional charges.

8. Windsor Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Windsor Vehicle Hire Services is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees you paid to Windsor Vehicle Hire Services for the service concerned during the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms for Windsor are governed by English and Welsh law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English and Welsh courts.

10. Revisions to Terms

Windsor may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on Windsor's website. Your continued use of Windsor's services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
